Summer in Ireland is made for getting out on the road, between the downpours. Whether you’re heading to the coast, planning a family day out or making the most of a late summer weekend away, our growing network of ultra-rapid chargers is ready to keep your journey moving.

With 10 sites and 25 ultra-rapid chargers live across the Republic of Ireland, with many more in development, there are plenty of opportunities to charge while exploring this summer – from Waterford and Cork in the south to Carrick-on-Shannon, Kildare, Dublin and Portlaoise.

Our locations are designed to fit naturally into journeys you’re already making. If you’re travelling through Waterford or Douglas in Cork, you can plug in at McDonald’s while grabbing breakfast, lunch or a coffee before continuing towards the coast or your next stop.

Heading for Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands? Our Carrick-on-Shannon chargers at Rosebank Retail Park are ideally placed for trips around the River Shannon and nearby Lough Key, while the surrounding shops make it easy to pick up provisions while you charge.

For journeys through Kildare, you’ll find InstaVolt chargers in Maynooth and Newbridge, whether you’re exploring closer to home or continuing towards Dublin. We also have charging locations at Park West and Tallaght in Dublin, giving you convenient options for a day in the capital or a stop on a longer journey. And if you’re crossing the country, our two Portlaoise locations provide useful charging stops in the Midlands, helping you recharge, take a break and get back on the road.

Summer adventures can mean early starts and late finishes, too. InstaVolt app users charging between 8pm and 7am can take advantage of our new Irish off-peak rate of 55c per kWh. That’s 11 hours of lower-cost charging every day, whether you’re plugging in ahead of an early start or topping up after a full day of exploring.

Every InstaVolt site is open 24/7, with no membership required, and our chargers across Ireland and the UK are powered by 100% renewable energy. And if your summer road trip takes you across the border into Northern Ireland, the same InstaVolt app unlocks our UK off-peak rate of 55p per kWh between 8pm and 7am with the 4 additional sites there.

So whether you’re stopping for lunch, picking up supplies or simply taking a break on the way to your next summer destination, InstaVolt is ready when you are.
